Clare works as part of Steppes Travel, a luxury, tailor-made tour operator based in Cirencester in the UK. We sell luxury villas, beach holidays and family holidays but our forte remains the creation of tailor-made cultural and adventure journeys to the more exotic regions of the world. Our objective will always be to show you the highlights of a country but we also like to take you off the beaten track to see the lesser known, but equally interesting places, not frequented by large numbers of tourists.
We are fully independent travel agents and our aim is quite simply to pass on our passion for travel. I am a permanently employed as a Senior Leisure Travel Consultant, part of a team of seven based in our Guernsey office. I have always been very interested in the cultures of the Far East and was fortunate to travel overland from New Zealand to Europe in my early twenties spending time in Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Laos, Thailand, Myanmar and India. I have subsequently visited Brunei, Borneo, Cambodia and Vietnam all of these South East Asian cultures whetting my appetite to discover more about the fascinating and intriguing country of China, so difficult for the independent traveler to visit for so long.
