I have not seen the whole world yet, but its on my list! China has always been number 1 on my bucket list. Last year I spent 2 weeks in China. I love to see how other people live, and be completely out of my element. We hiked 7 hours on the Great Wall, cruised on the Yangtze river, and visited the Summer Palace, to name a few of the wonderful things we did. I have been a travel agent for 7 years, and have traveled all over the world. China is still my favorite place, that pulls at my heart. I take great pride in giving my clients the trip of their lifetime, down to the smallest detail.
What I love most about travel is merging with the local culture and surroundings. China is my latest discovery. To be in Shanghai on a crystal clear day is very special. I arranged for a private driver to get myself and 2 friends around the city – we covered a lot in 8 hours! The Terra Cotta warriors in Xi'an and the Great Wall are two must visits on any itinerary to China. Learning the history behind both of these man made creations is unbelievable. Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA Helene Apper decided it was time to explore. She packed her bags and moved to Rio Rancho (Albuquerque metro area), New Mexico and has been there for over ten years. Helene loves to travel all over the world with China being one of her favorite places in the world. She has been in the travel business for about 10 years currently working with New Act Travel, a Virtuoso Agency and loves to give each client her personal attention and live through their trips with them.
I entered the travel industry over 35 years ago and have had the pleasure of planning exciting client vacations to all seven continents. Some of the many trips I have planned include; sailing to Antarctica, venturing into the South American jungle, safari in the Serengeti, cruising to the Arctic, Orient and Europe and riding the rails across the US, Canada. My desire is to help people fulfill dreams. I never tire of hearing about the unique things clients have experienced and the quality time spent with friends and family on their trips.
