Tenzin was born in Shangri-La, but was raised in a Tibetan community in India. After studying languages and Tibetan culture in India for 20 years, he moved back to his ancestral home in 2009, instantly falling in love with the local culture, tradition, and landscape. The decision to become a tour guide was a natural one for Tenzin. He wanted to use his language skills to meet new people and show them his home.
